Caption : Boys dump the dead greater adjutant storks which died due to food poisoning in a garbage dumping site on the World Environment Celebration Day in the heart of Guwahati city on June 05, 2006. Five greater adjutant storks have died in last one month in this site and many others physically UNFIT to fly due to chemical sprayed in their food. Guwahati city has the largest concentration of greater adjutant storks in the world but their numbers gradually declining due to loss of wetlands, habitat and availability of food.
