Caption : A view of the Tippu Fort in Palakkad. This majestic granite fort is one of the much sought after tourist destination in Kerala. Built in 1766 by Hyder Ali of Mysore and taken over in 1790 by the British it is one of the few well preserved Forts maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
