Caption : Iqbal Patny recites a 'nazm' on a Laxma Goud painting. Even Iqbal Patny's recital was a blend of verse and colour. It was Iqbal Patny's poetry that the members of the Kakatiya Ladies Club turned to for chilling out at their get-together on at Hotel Grand Kakatiya. Aptly titled Tasveer Ki Awaz (The voice of images), the recital was a fusion of words and colours, the latter drawn from noted artist Laxma Goud's collection of paintings. With their rustic themes and rural imagery, Goud's paintings superbly complemented Iqbal's silken vocabulary. "Poetry in art and the art in poetry," is how the industrialist-poet described his unique recital. Photo: K. Ramesh Babu 16-06-2005
