Caption : Balahisar Baradari, located on top of Golconda Fort, an important land mark in the southern Indian State of Andhra Pradesh, is a wind-swept three-storied pavilion with twelve arches which used to be the `darbar' of the Sultans. A mud fort structure on `Golla Konda' or Shepherd's hill was built by the Kakatiya Kings in 1143 and it was glorified during the Bahamani Kingdom in 1364. But today's dilapidated massive granite structure of Golconda Fort was built by the Qutub Shahi Kings after 1507.
