Caption : PALAKKAD, KERALA, 26/05/2020: A student undergoes thermal scanning before appearing for the SSLC examination at Government Moyans Model Girls Higher Secondary School at Palakkad on Tuesday. The SSLC, Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary examinations resumed on Tuesday in Kerala with adherence to strict social distancing norms in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is estimated that 4.2 lakh students appear for the SSLC examinations, and another 8 lakh for Plus One, Plus Two and vocational higher secondary examination in the State. A total of 1.23.624 students from the Palakkad district write their examinations on Tuesday. The students from containment zones will be writing the exams in separate classrooms.Transport facilities have been arranged for students to reach the examination centres by the Education department. Social distancing will be followed during examinations. A total of 1.51.000 masks have been made for this purpose.
