Manora Fort, a famous picnic spot located in the village Sarabondrarajanpattinam, is an example of architecture of Marattas. It was built in 1814 to commemorate the victory of the British over NAPOLEAN Bonapart in the war of Waterloo. It is located at Adirampattinam, a small port town lying about 13 km south east of Pattukkottai in Thanjavur.
