Caption : BANGALORE, 25/12/2011: Friends and classmates sit outside a private hospital in Bangalore. Swarna Jaswanth, a student of fashion technology at Vogue Institute of Fashion Technology at DODDABALLAPUR Road, lost her balance when a part of the staircase on the second floor at the new campus of the college chipped away as she was walking down, on December 14. She fell sideways and landed on a part of the floor that was made of glass. She plunged 20 ft below after the glass gave way and has been in coma since. She was declared 'brain dead' on December 25, 2011 and her vital organs will be harvested and donated.
