Caption : Pilgrims on their way to Lord Gomateswara temple at Shravanabelagola in the southern Indian State of Karnataka. There are 614 rock cut steps to reach the temple. This place is a main centre of pilgrimage for the Jain community. The 57 ft high statue of Lord Gomateswara is carved out of a single stone and was installed by Chavundaraya in 988 A.D.
