Caption : Gol Gumbaz, the most majestic and largest monument. Sultan Muhmmad Ali Shah VII (1626-56) laid its foundation as his own mausoleum, but he died before its completion. Its acoustic effects are so wonderful that any sonic signal or a clap taken by it gets repeated 12 times over. Forty metres in diameter and towering over a square structure with a tower at each corner, its inside is austerely bare except the four arches supporting the dome.
