Caption : Students of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan-Kodagu Vidyalaya involved in plastic removal programme at the Fort in Madikeri on Tuesday. The Director of the institution, Rajeshwari Raghu and the Executrive Vice-Chairman of the institution, M.B.Belliappa, who were present, said that the programme would generate awareness in the society to do away with the non-biodegradable items and help upkeep of environment. Another batch of students cleaned up plastic and other wastes from the Raja Seat gardens simultaneously. The programme also came as a precursor to the Earth Day celebrations slated for April 22, Dr. Raghu said.
